Kind Staff Edits with Reneé

Introducing our latest journal segment, Kind Staff Editswhere our team have handpicked some of their favourite pieces and put together a selection of curated looks for easy, everyday wear. First up, Reneé runs us through three looks she's wearing at the moment, featuring Bassike, Paloma Wool, Matteau, All That Remains and Post Sole Studio.
Bassike and Paloma Wool

Outfit One

Reneé - I love a big tee (and Bassike do the best!) with comfy pants that look like I've put in way more effort than I really have! Wear with these cute Paloma Wool mules for date night or my sneakers when I'm on the run with the boys.

Buyer notes - Bassike is an established Australian label that we love for both their mens and womens organic cotton jersey essentials, but also their premium tailored seasonal pieces. We brought this label into Kind Curations as they provide some of the best t-shirt and trouser fits we've seen. The Motley Wide Heritage Tshirt is made from in Australia from 100% Organic Cotton. So it's great quality plus we are supporting local industry.

Paloma Wool is one of our most recently introduced labels. We had our eye on this fun Barcelona based brand for some time, and during the pandemic decided it was definitely time to inject a little more fun into our women's assortment (not forgetting that their pieces are unisex too!). They're also leading the way in sustainable manufacturing in so many ways. The Fromthe Knitted Pants (part of their Jenny From The Block story - fun!) are made locally in Spain from EcoVero, a certified material made from sustainable wood fibers. They have a slight sheen to them which sets them apart from other knitted pants we've seen lately. The Isabel Heel is just that perfect strappy style, and made from 100% leather in Spain.

Outfit Two

Reneé wears Matteau Decolette Blouse, All That Remains Louise Pants and Paloma Wool Tornado Sandals

Reneé - The Louise Pant from All That Remains are the most flattering fit. I feel so good when I wear them. Paired with the Matteau blouse, I love a big sleeve & also that I could wear it as a beach cover up.

Buyer Notes - Matteau was one of the first swimwear labels we brought to the store when we opened 3 years ago, and since then they have expanded into simple and considered apparel collections as well. This blouse is a really flattering and easy to wear fit, and a little bit special with the voluminous sleeves. It's also made in Australia which is a plus!

The Louise Pants from All That Remains is a key core item for the brand, and is made in some fun new colours each collection. It's that iconic sailor pant style, made from a gorgeous linen and fits like a glove. We really adore this brand and love working with Leaha who is the heart and soul (and owner, designer, salesperson and all other things!) of All That Remains.

Outfit Three

Reneé wears All That Remains Wynonna Dress and Post Sole Studio Trail Ripple Sandal

Reneé - I fell in love with this dress the minute I had it on. I'm trying to introduce some more colour into my wardrobe and I love being able to have this as a staple I can wear out for a fancy lunch with my husband or throw a big knit over the top and some sneakers and wear it on the go with my boys.

Buyer Notes - Another winning style from All That Remains. Twice a year they release an inspired and beautifully feminine collection made with more delicate and intricate fabrics. We love that they have nailed their core basics but you see the true essence of the brand come through in these special collections. We bought this dress for it's ease of wear, and thoughtful design details with the balloon sleeves, drop waist and removable slip.

Post Sole Studio is a small brand from Melbourne that we lusted over for a couple of years before making space in store to be able to offer footwear. Made in Melbourne from locally sourced materials, the quality, comfort and creativity exuded in their designs makes us really proud to carry this brand. The Trail ripple is a core style for them and is like a little hug for your feet that just gets better with age. The chunky sandal trend is in full force at the moment but we know this style will stand the test of time.
