The story of My Mum Made It started when fresh out of high school, Brisbane based founder Nyree Leckenby turned a vintage bed sheet into a handmade dress using her mum’s sewing machine. After receiving many compliments and a boutique request to stock her designs, she left her interior design studies to pursue fashion full-time. The brand’s name came from her playful response to people asking, “Where’s your dress from?” : “My mum made it.” That moment sparked a journey from local markets to a global fashion label built on creativity, individuality, and intentional design.
